Sockcessful Puppets!

Darlings, you may be thinking, Cindy, why you have made a spelling error! But I haven't, not at all! I see Earl has posted about my sock-making talent already, but I'm not sure you can understand his rambling. Furthermore, his typing skills are shabby, and he doesn't believe that practice makes perfect. He believes practice makes headaches. Anyway, to get back on topic, I would like to correct Earl. He mentioned that I started making suppets after seeing my friend Gail make them, but I actually learned to make them on the couple's cruise. Although I was the oldest one there, (where do all those kids come from on a couples cruise?) I was also the most skilled. The teacher said I just socked up all the knowledge! When I told Gail, she decided to learn from me. As you know, we are very competitive, and even though she was crowned Sock Princess, I know in my heart that I was the only true Sock Queen.  Anyway, my suppets (sock+puppets) are for sale along with my sewing masterpieces, and well, they are truly magnificent.
Please note, Earl: Don't think of your socks as gone, think of them as going on vacation!

Mid-Summers Post

Hello Darlings,
I hope you haven't forgotten about us. We've had very little time to blog this summer, as we went on a couples cruise. Then we settled down for a while. I recently made dinner, which is as follows.

  • Salmon, for me of course
  • A nice glass of wine
  • Hand roasted potatoes that I seasoned.
It was a nice dinner for me. Earl was at the playground, so dinner for one! I forgot to take pictures of the rest, however, here are the potatoes as I prepared them.

Delicious, huh? Well, Earl required a cab (quite expensive) to come home from the children's play area, and I had to shout at him, making me late to get the potatoes. At least my salmon was good.

Cooking Fun in the Kitchen!

I really enjoy cooking up crafts. (Earl thought that was a funny pun.) Today I made a lobster for vegetarians. It does not contain any meat and does not require any real animals. I will show you how to make it by telling you the steps. I thought since Earl teaches you how to cook so wonderfully, I would to.
Here is what the lobster should look like:
Here is what you will need:
(11) Sustainably grown carrots bought at Costco
(1) Exceptionally large carrot grown in soil
(3) Sliced olives
(2) Raisins
(2) Toothpicks

1. Cut 4 carrots into tube shapes for the legs. You should have 8 of these. (Save the pointy tips)
2. Cut the tops of 4 carrots. (The pointy tip) Also use the ones you saved. You need 8 of these.
3. Cut the very large carrot in half. Cut the bottom half into 4 pieces
4. Cut 2 carrot slabs
5. Stick 2 toothpicks where you would like the eyes to be in the head
6. Put olives on toothpick first, then raisins
7. Eat the leftover olives and carrots to stay healthy
8. Take a nap
9. Place carrot like shown above
10. Take picture and throw out. If you are brave, you can try to eat it.

The Radio

We have a handy little radio that Earl bought a few years ago in 1998. I was trying to tune into the classical music station that I enjoyed back in the 1900s. I always forget the radio number, but I remembered today, it was 106.1, I believe. But when I went to the station, awful music was playing. It kept on saying the one line "Uptow Fun" or something. Also, they used much profane language which was unacceptable about white girls and such.

Please help! I would like my classical music back! Why is there so much strange music? After I continued to listen, there were many strange songs such as one where a crazed girl was talking about blank spaces. How can I tune into the real 106.1? It is called Classical Jams of the 1900s, if you would like to help.

MY FLOWERS!

Earl was doing yard work and he RUINED MY FLOWERS!! I am in so much pain right now. First he burns the dinner, then this! I had a serious talk with him, and he is very sorry. But I am still cross with him right now. They were planted when I first came here, and now they are DEAD! Here is a picture of the damage that was done. This was all that was left of my poor flowers. I will press them in my bible, and always will remember them. Poor, poor flowers. Earl is praying right now. He wishes to repent for his sin.

Our Cat

Earl, honey, I think it may be time to see a doctor. I've got the perfect graveyard for you! (I'm just joking of course. But tell me, if you WERE to right a will, what would it look like...?)

You may be wondering why. Let me tell you, hon'.

Our cat died four years ago.

I was looking on Bing images, and I found this, honey. I think that it really shows how I feel. Anyhow, I won $10 at Mahjong today! (And honey... I may have bet our house in Mahjong...)

CINDY???

I know that you are with your friend until the "stink" of hotdogs goes a way, but I lost our cat. please call me.

Dinner For Tonight

Earl made dinner tonight. I was mortally appalled when I came back from Mahjong. He made hot dogs, which are pork. I do not eat pork! Pork is from pigs which are filthy, unlovable creatures. I prefer cats. Not to eat though. He burnt the hot dogs too! I almost fainted because he could have burned down our house! Really! Fire is extremely dangerous! He also made mashed potatoes, which he microwaved. Do you know how unhealthy it is to microwave? Freeze dried food has no vitamins, none at all.

This is the filth that he bought. It is 80 calories! I will be fat.

I lost my appetite. Earl ate ALL the food. It was disgusting. I took two aspirins and went to bed. Earl ended up with a stomach ache.
What an awful day!
(I also lost money in Mahjong. But no matter what Earl says, it is NOT gambling.)

Tidbit Alert!

I just recieved my weekly subscription of Times, which of course, I jumped into right away. I found this very interesting tidbit, and was thoughtful to share it with you!

The age of the oldest living person is 115 as of April 7th. Jeralean Tulley took the title after a 116 year old woman died. When asked how he felt he said "I feel good."

I would like to comment that I feel this is very relevant to me, as I feel it gets harder to live each day as it gets older. Perhaps Tulley should have answered close to that of the one in our humour section. (See Earl's joke on the right.)

Hello, I'm Earl.

Mine is Earl. I am 62 years of age. I am a carpenter, but my back hurts. I have wife named Cindy.  Thanks to goggle image for giving me pictures.
Things I like:

Cindy made me stop using pipe. I was mad.

Whittling is a good fun!
I like talking about weather.I like to build miniature doll furniture, is great fun! In spare time, I build model boats and place in bottles, crank the radio and listen for a good while. I cook ham and potatoes for dinner.

Cheerio!
Earl

Hello, I'm Cindy!

It is my greatest pleasure to introduce myself as Cindy Salvatore. I am 59 years  old, though some say I look younger. I suppose I do. I was a great star in my 30s, performing at my local theatre, where I met the love of my life, Frankie. Unfortunately, Frankie did not have the same feelings for me. It was quite scandalous, there was also Joseph, Carl, Gilbert, and lastly, Earl. Earl, who I have been married happily to for 30 years. I met him when coming home from Carl's sweet little home. Earl was fiddling on the roof-top. Quite metaphorical, he is. We developed a strong passion for technology, and decided to create a quite advanced blog together. We own a 1999 Apple computer, that even has it's own keyboard! We both also have Blueberries as our phones. Above I have attached an early picture when I was in my full beauty. I was known as quite the belle of the ball back then. I will be posting many things such as my sewing work, cooking, and scrapbook pictures. I know surely that you will enjoy. Also, please pardon Earl's short posts. He has not the best grammatical skills either.
